The Extraordinary Power of Deliberate Intentions

Sometimes we all need a friendly reminder when we veer out of our running lane. In business, this is when we find ourselves chasing the competition instead of the finish line. Simply put, the manifestation of your company vision is your finish line. It’s the reason WHY your practice even exists. Reaching the finish line requires deliberate intentions to do so. By focusing on your WHY, every decision and action has the deliberate intent to achieve your vision (and all the pretty little things that come with it: profit, prestige, and other byproducts). The question is: what are you and your team focused on?? You may need this friendly reminder to get you back on track.

Think, Act & Communicate Your Company WHY

We could be wrong, but it’s hard to believe any one of you truly started your practice simply in hopes to make a profit. According to the business owners we get the pleasure to speak with, most have visions to empower others, improve the lives of people in their community, and for some, they saw room for improvement and wanted to be the difference.

Here’s the thing: every organization knows WHAT they do. Most know HOW they do it. But very few know WHY they do it. Ever since Simon Sinek led his Ted Talk, “How Great Leaders Inspire Action,” the concept of starting with your WHY has been gaining traction year after year. Especially, because this concept is backed by biology and human behavior.

However, when you find yourself staring down the barrel of massive debt, production deficits, high overhead, poor conversion & retention rates, and new patient numbers in the crapper, it’s easy to get caught up in decisions and actions intended to increase profit, rather than move the company vision forward. This is when you find yourself chasing the competition. When you and your team become overly focused on what your competitors are doing or what you are doing, instead of WHY you’re doing it or WHY your practice matters to people.

The extraordinary power of deliberate intentions is the capacity to achieve what matters most.

If you’ve lost sight of what’s important in the madness and chaos of business management, take some time with your team to get back to the basics. Get back to WHY you do what you do and WHY people need YOUR product/service.

If you think, act & communicate your WHY to your team, your patients, and the public, your practice will begin to resonate and attract the individuals necessary to make your vision possible. Both your marketing message and culture will begin to attract others who believe what you believe. You see, the power to manifest your vision comes from the deliberate intent to manifest it. Every decision and action needs to start with why.
